Welcome to the kitchen garden
We are a small organic market garden, nestling by the Thames and certified by the Soil Association. We provide a variety of organic vegetables, herbs and fruit to Wallingford, Goring and Streatley. You and your children can come and visit to see local food being grown and harvested for the best taste and quality.
We are open Saturday mornings at present, from 9-1pm and have eggs, salad, courgettes, raspberries, fennel, garlic, shallots, broad beans, new potatoes, and cut flowers in season.
For those of you looking for courses, we are only doing flower growing days at present, run by Rachel Siegfried, as green and gorgeous. Vegetable growing days are still being held by Catherine Ducker, who set up the site originally at her new garden at green bean.
The kitchen garden is run by Ashley Pearson who has a background in plant biology and crop protection. Previously at Daylesford Organics, he has studied organic systems around the world. He is helped by his partner Rachel, who has worked in horticulture for over 10 years. She has a keen interest in keeping chickens and growing cut flowers for a fully productive garden.
